The Way to Jesus

Here at Mt. Ed Church, our overwhelming desire is to lead as many people to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ as we possibly can before He returns to gather His church out of the world. If you’ve come to this page, it’s more than likely because you’re wondering how you can find your way to Jesus. In the Bible, we find simple instructions from God on how to become a Christian. Below you’ll find some Scriptures that will help you understand what has already been done for you, what you must now do, and what will then be the result of this all-important, life-changing decision. It is our prayer that if after reading these Scriptures you have decided to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you will contact the pastor and let him know your decision. We want to rejoice with you!

  1. Realize that sin separates us from a Holy God. Admit your sins to Him.
Romans 3:23: For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.

  2. Understand that our sin carries a penalty of death, but God provides the way for everyone to have eternal life.
Romans 6:23: For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

  3. God loves you. How did He show how much He loves you?
John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life. And, Romans 5:8: But God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  4. Accept what Jesus Christ has done for you and believe in your heart.
Romans 10:9: That if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and will believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

  5. Make a commitment to God.
Accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord today, and you will live forever. You can pray a prayer like this: “Heavenly Father, I know I have sinned against You, please forgive me. I believe that Your Son, Jesus Christ, died on a cross to pay the penalty for my sin. I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior and want to make Him the Lord of my life. I invite Your Holy Spirit into my heart to guide me throughout the rest of my life. I commit my whole life to You. Amen”
